Lexus Ranked Most Reliable Luxury Auto Brand

USA Today and the New York Times report that Scion had the best reliability ratings of any auto brand, Lexus placed second and Toyota rated sixth in the highly regarded 2011 Consumer Reports Car Reliability Survey released today. It’s the second year in a row Scion has taken top honors. Lexus jumped 5 spots and Toyota held steady in the top six brands. The findings are based on responses from 1.3 million vehicles owned or leased by subscribers of Consumer Reports or Consumer Reports.org.

Overall, Japanese brands continued to dominate the survey and took the top nine spots with 96 percent of all Japanese models rated average or better in predicted reliability, according to the newspapers. Only 64 percent of domestic brands and European brands received average or better ratings. Ford experienced the largest drop of any major nameplate, slipping from the 10th to 20th spot. Jeep moved up seven spots to 13th, making it the most reliable domestic brand. Hyundai and Kia ranked 11th and 12th, respectively. Luxury cars Audi (26), Porsche (27), and Jaguar (28) placed last in the survey.

Meade Lexus congratulates Lexus and Lexus employees for their efforts in achieving this!
