“Time to Help” for Three Metro Detroit Car Dealers

Three local car dealers are offering more than holiday specials this time of year—they’re also offering a hand to bring holiday joy to local homeless families.

A Time to Help-Mitch Albom Detroit MIEmployees from Meade Lexus of Lakeside (Utica, MI), Meade Lexus of Southfield, and Meade Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (Detroit, MI) are joining together with many more volunteers to give homeless children and parents a day to remember this holiday season. The day is Saturday, December 4th, and the occasion is an annual Christmas party put on by Mitch Albom’s “A Time to Help” organization.

"A Time to Help" began in 1997 to encourage volunteerism in Detroit—staging more than 100 projects thus far that include home-building, food delivery, repairs to homeless shelters, and the aforementioned annual Christmas party for homeless children and their parents. The special upcoming holiday party will bring joy to them in the forms of needed gifts, food, games, arts and crafts, and, of course, Santa.
Meade Auto employees and other volunteers will be meeting at Booth Evangeline Salvation Army in Detroit this Saturday morning, dedicating part of their day to helping create a heart-warming atmosphere that shelter residents have grown to cherish.

The Meade Auto holiday spirit is being spread even further with holiday toy drives taking place at each dealership until December 13th to benefit local children fighting cancer, as well as through more plans to volunteer with the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries later this month.

Part of The Meade Group’s mission is to share its good fortune by supporting a variety of programs that nurture the health, education, and well-being of those in need in the Detroit metropolitan area.

This holiday season, these automotive dealers continue to do just that.
